When you receive a diagnostic test at Network Radiology your insurance company will be billed for the procedure. Once the bill is processed, an explanation of benefits (EOB) is generated by the carrier. This will have what is referred to as the “allowed amount” listed. This is the amount determined by your insurance company to be the proper payment for the procedure. This amount is the only amount that will be owed to the provider and the only amount that you will be responsible for. If you have met your deductible and have no co-pay, the carrier will pay the allowed amount to Network Radiology and the account will be paid in full. If you have not met your deductible, the allowed amount will be due from you. If you have met your deductible but have a copay, the copay amount will be due from you.
As health care deductibles climb, patients are becoming increasingly more concerned about their out-of-pocket expenses. A hospital MRI can cost as much as $2,600, compared to Network Radiology, which charges an average of $600 for the exact same service. Most patients don’t realize they can save as much as $1,500 out-of-pocket at Network Radiology, when a hospital doctor orders an MRI within their own system. Other scans through Network Radiology offer significant savings as well.
Network Radiology strongly believes that every patient should have access to diagnostic testing at a reasonable cost. We offer an uninsured rate for all patients, and we are happy to quote you a price. Just call our office at 216-291-8480. We will also work with patients to develop an affordable payment plan.
